Joshy Jose as Director- Program implementation oversees Breakthrough’s work at the state level in India including the effective delivery of products, services and campaigns at the state and district level. He holds a bachelors in Civil Engineering, masters in sociology and is a certified master trainer for Life skills and programmatic approach (TOC). His development career, spanning 20 years started with Centre for Science and Technology for Rural Development, Kerala, a specialised centre for low cost housing and policy advocacy for rural poor. In his previous assignments, he served as Program Director, HOPE Foundation India, worked as consultant and master trainer for Life skills for International Youth Foundation (IYF), Baltimore, as Program manager for USAID Child Survival Program, CKA, Delhi, as Head of Knowledge management & Development (KMD) for The Leprosy Mission and as Technical Advisor for Life stage 3 in Child fund International. He strongly believes in the ‘oneness of all’ and the ‘power of now’ philosophies, loves to hike, paint and write whenever he gets time.
